What Is DealDock?
DealDock is a physical escrow service for peer-to-peer marketplace trades. You meet at our venue; we verify IDs and the item, hold funds in escrow, and release both only when everyone is satisfied. It’s the simplest way to stop scams, fake proofs of payment, and unsafe meet-ups.
How It Works

Identity & KYC
We verify both parties before any handover. Bring a valid SA ID/driver’s licence/passport and a proof of address dated within 3 months (e.g., utility bill or bank statement). We record these details securely for the transaction log and screen for obvious red flags to keep exchanges safe.

Item & Condition
We confirm the item matches what was advertised. That includes a visual check, quick power-on/functional test (where possible), make/model match, serial/IMEI capture, accessory count, and photos of condition. This is a basic verification, not a full diagnostic or warranty assessment.

Proof of Purchase / Ownership
To reduce fraud and stolen-goods risk, we ask for an invoice/receipt, warranty card, or transfer document. If none are available, we record serial/IMEI and may require a signed ownership declaration.
Why DealDock?
DealDock is South Africa’s safe-exchange hub for marketplace deals. We act as a neutral escrow - verifying IDs, checking the item, safeguarding funds, and releasing payment only when both sides are satisfied.
